The Guest Card has joined the European city cards association

Saint Petersburg is the first city in Russia, which offers tourists the Guest Card program. Saint Petersburg has also become the first city, which presented this program at the international level.
A tripartite treaty between the Saint Petersburg Tourist Information Bureau, the operator of the Guest Card program, and European Cities Marketing (ECM) on inclusion the Saint Petersburg Guest Card in the "City Cards" group, which unites 36 similar programs in the biggest European tourist centers, has been signed within the annual ECM meeting today.
Participation of the Guest Card program in ECM activity will attract additional tourist flow in St. Petersburg and strengthen image of St. Petersburg as an attractive and comfortable tourist centre.
Moreover, entry into ECM opens up new prospects for development of the program itself. The St. Petersburg Guest Card in equal terms with the London, Paris, Barcelona, and other European cities cards will be presented on the portal of the association www.europeancitiescards.com. Also, anyone can buy the card via this portal soon. The Petersburg program will take part in joint advertising campaign of the European city cards and participate in creation of a united mobile application for Iphone and Android. The combined efforts will favour the development and more effective promotion of each of the programs.

"Joining the first Russian Guest Card program to the European Cities Marketing Association is the new stage and new opportunities for exchange of experience and improvement of the program, offered both foreign and Russian guests of the Northern Capital", Nana Gvichyia, CEO of the St. Petersburg Tourist Information Bureau, said.

     

17-24 march     During the international exhibition "Intourmarket-2012" Victor Kurtyshev was awarded with certificate for participating in the seminar "Partnership of government and non-governmental organizations (associations) in the sphere of tourism: Russian and foreign experiance".  Also Victor Kurtyshev met on "MITT" 19th Moscow International "Travel and Tourism" exhibition with representatives of administrations of Moscow, Kazan, Sochi and discussed the development of "City Pass" tourist service оn the territory of that destinations.

On December 1 the "Increase in quality and safety of the tourist services as a condition of successful promotion of a tourist product" International conference took place in Sochi within the framework of realization of "Development of domestic and incoming tourism in the Russian Federation" Federal target programme (2011-2018). During the plenary meeting Viktor Kurtyshev has told about an international service "City Pass".

  

“Guidelines of the Future” I Kazan international tourist forum took part on November 17. Viktor Kurtyshev, director of the “Guest Card” program has presented the tourist service and made a report “Successful experience of implementation of international tourist product on the example of “St. Petersburg Guest Card” program”.

     

Viktor Kurtyshev, director of the “Guest Card” program, has acted as a member of council of experts at "Tourism new faces 2011" contest,
traditionally a bright and major event in tourist business life of the Northwest, which is conducted by RST with the support of the Committee for the V time.

Professionals in the tourism and hospitality sphere named their most perspective future employees in the final of the contest.
